UPSEE 2016 Details – Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University

UPSEE 2016 is a state level examination which is conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, earlier known as UPTU. The information brochure of the exam has not been released yet. However, it is expected that the schedule and the procedure to conduct the paper will remain the same as previous year.  Hence, on the basis of the available data of last year, we have prepared the article below to assist readers. It will help aspirants in understanding the eligibility criteria, application procedure, exam pattern, selection procedure etc about USEE. When the information for the upcoming exam will be released, we will update the articles as per it.

Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination

As the name suggest, UPSEE is conducted for the admission in the colleges and universities of Uttar Pradesh. Through it, admission is granted in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses like B. Tech /B.Arch. / B.Pharm./BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA/MCA/MAM. However, in this article, we have only covered the aspects of UG engineering admission.
The examination is becoming more and more popular among the students.  Last year, total 348453 candidates registered for the exam and it is expected that this year the number of applicants will surely increase. Some of the top colleges which consider the score of UPSEE are:

UPSEE 2016 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must read the eligibility criteria of the exam, before applying. Such should be done because ineligible candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.
UPSEE 2016 eligibility criteria is as below:
·        Candidate should have cleared class 12th/equivalent examination from a state recognized or national education board.
·         The subject combination in the exam should include Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of as optional subject Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical vocational subject. However, candidates pursuing Architecture should have any of these as optional subjects Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Engineering Drawing/Technical vocational subject
·    Marks of the candidate in 10+2/equivalent should not be less than 45%. However, the same for the SC/ST candidates is 40% marks
UPSEE 2016 Application Form
The forms are usually released in the third week of February. The conducting body releases it online, on the official website, and offline. We will provide a direct link to UPSEE 2016 Registration portal here. With the help of it, our readers will be able to easily avail the application form.
To fill the application form, candidates can either register on the official website or buy it from a help desk center. In the UPSEE 2016 application form, candidates will have to fill their personal, educational, and communicational details.
One mandatory requirement to submit the application form is the fee. Last year, the application fee was Rs. 800 for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 400 for SC/ST/Women applicants. The amount could be paid via PNB Challan or credit/debit card.
UPSEE 2016 Admit Card
The admit card of the exam will be released for all the properly registered applicants. It will only be released on the official website and offline issuance will not be provided. On the exam day, candidates will have to carry it but as a print copy/hard copy.
Incorrect information in the UPSEE 2016 admit card, can harm the candidature. Hence, candidates are advised to check all the details (category, sub-category, gender, rural weightage, Name, Father’s Name etc.) in it thoroughly. If any error detected, inform the conducting body about it.
UPSEE 2016 Exam Pattern
The exam of UP State Entrance Examination 2016 will be held in offline mode and candidates will have to mark answers in OMR sheet. All the questions in the exam will be of Multiple Choice Type, except in the drawing paper. There will be total 150 questions in the exam and will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For marking correct answer 4 marks will be allocated to the candidates and negative marking will not be implemented for incorrect answers.

UPSEE 2016 Syllabus and Sample Papers
The UPSEE 2016 syllabus will be the same as that of class 11 and class 12. Hence, candidates are advised to revise all the chapters carefully.
When the revision is done, candidates should practice from UPSEE 2016 sample papers. These will help in understanding the questions paper, the pattern of the exam and level of difficulty in it. 
UPSEE 2016 Cutoff
As per the norms of the UP State Govt, the UPSEE 2016 cutoff percentage of marks is 25% (20% for SC/ST). On the basis of this, the merit list of successful candidates will be prepared. Since, the total marks of the exam are 600 then to qualify it candidates need to attain a minimum 150-160 marks.
UPSEE 2016 Result
The direct link to the result will also be provided here when it will be released. Candidates will be able to check it by entering their Roll Number and Date of Birth. In the UPSEE 2016 result, the sectional and overall score with the rank will be mentioned.
UPSEE 2016 Counselling
The counselling of Uttar Pradesh SEE will be held for UPSEE 2016 and JEE Main 2016 qualifiers. Before the counselling for JEE Main aspirants, the conducting body will conduct the counselling for the qualifiers of UPSEE. In it, candidates belonging to all the categories will be allocated seat. UPSEE counselling for the SEE qualifiers will be held in two Phases, which will conclude on the 4th week of June and 1st week of July 2016, respectively. For JEE Main qualifiers, the counselling will begin in 2nd week of July 2016.
Two more round of UPSEE 2016 counselling will also be held, after the conclusion of counselling for JEE Main 2016 qualifiers. These rounds will be held exclusively for the intake of SC and ST qualifiers of UPSEE 2016.
