UPPCL JE Recruitment 2021:Good news for candidates seeking a government job in Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL), Lucknow. UPPCL has issued notification for one more recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineer. As per the notification (No.01 / VSA / 2020 / JE / Civil) issued by the Corporation on Wednesday, 14 January 2021, applications are invited from eligible candidates for the recruitment of 21 posts of Junior Engineer (Trainee / Civil). Candidates wishing to apply will be able to apply through the online application form provided on the official website of UPPCL, uppcl.org. The application process will start from 3 February and candidates will be able to submit applications by 23 February 2021.

Who can apply?

According to UPPCL JE Recruitment 2021 notification, only those candidates who have passed the three-year diploma in civil engineering from a recognized university or any other higher education institution will be able to apply for the post of Junior Engineer (Trainee) in Civil Trade. However, candidates with Diploma in Distance Learning will not be eligible to apply. At the same time, the age of the candidates desirous of applying for these posts should not be less than 18 years and more than 40 years on 1 January 2021. However, SC, ST, and OBC categories candidates have been given 5 years of relaxation in the maximum age limit.

This will be the selection

Candidates for the post of Junior Engineer (Trainee) in Civil Trade will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Examination (CBT). The examination is to be conducted in the cities of Varanasi, Lucknow, and Meerut. The exam will be for 3 hours and will consist of 200 questions, for which a maximum of 200 marks is prescribed. Of these, 150 questions will be from Civil Trade and 50 questions will be from General Knowledge, Reasoning, and General Hindi subjects. There will also be negative marking (0.25) in the exam. Candidates with less than 30 percent marks will be excluded from the selection process. At the same time, the merit list will be made on the basis of CBT, according to which the candidates will be called for document verification.
