SSC MTS 2021: Notification to be released on 2 not 5 February, Staff Selection Commission changed date, see notice

SSC MTS 2020-21 Notification:Important alerts for candidates awaiting SSC MTS 2021 notification. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the date of notification of the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Recruitment Examination 2020. According to the notice issued by the Commission today, 29 January 2021, the notification of the examination will be issued on 5 February 2021. However, the Commission has not released an update regarding the new deadline for the application after the announced delay of 3 days in the issue of notification. The first deadline was 18 March 2021.

Recruitment of Group C posts under General Central Service in Central Government Ministries and Departments as well as offices located in various states and union territories across the country is done through the MTS Examination by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The candidates are selected through the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Recruitment Examination conducted every year by the Commission for the vacancies declared in the pay scales of 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Level-1 in these Central Departments.

Notification for the pending SSC MTS Exam 2020 for the year 2020 was to be done on 2 February 2021 as per the revised exam calendar released by SSC for the period from 1 October to 31 August 2021 for various examinations postponed due to Corona epidemic. Vacancies have been increasing

The number of vacancies to be filled through SSC MTS exam has been increasing. For the previous version of MTS Examination – 2019, 9069 vacancies were announced by the Commission on 19 October 2020. Of these, 7551 vacancies were declared for the candidates in the age group of 18-25 years while 1518 vacancies were declared for the candidates aged 18-27. On the other hand, for the SSC MTS 2019, maximum 3434 vacancies were for the Northern Region. On the other hand, the number of vacancies to be filled through multi-tasking examination for the year 2018 was 10,674 and for 2017 8300.

Qualification for SSC MTS Exam 2020-21

In order to appear in SSC MTS exam, candidates must have passed 10th standard or any equivalent examination from a recognized board. Also, the age of the candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on the last date. The maximum age limit for some posts is 27 years. At the same time, relaxation in the maximum age limit is given to the candidates of reserved classes (SC, ST, OBC and others).

This is how selection happens

The Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination of SSC has two stages – Paper 1 Computer Based Examination (CBE) and Detailed Northern Paper 2. Paper 1 exam is of 90 minutes and consists of multiple-choice questions related to General English, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness. This test has a negative marking of 0.25. At the same time, the duration of Paper 2 is 30 minutes.
