BTSC Recruitment 2021: Important update for candidates preparing for Medical Officer Government job. Online applications for the posts of Specialist Medical Officer (SMO) and General Medical Officer (GMO) advertised by Bihar Technical Services Commission (BTSC) can be made from today, 4 May 2021. A press release regarding the for recruitment of 6338 posts including 3706 SMO and 2632 GMO posts in the Health Department, Government of Bihar was recently released by BTSC. According to the release, the eligible and interested candidates can apply for the recruitment by visiting the official website of the Commission, btsc.bih.nic.in and apply online by visiting the official examination portal, pariksha.nic.in. The last date for online application for BTSC SMO and GMO Recruitment 2021 has been set as 24 May 2021.

How to apply
For the application, candidates can visit the examination portal, pariksha.nic.in. Click on the ‘Notification / Advertisement’ link in the online application section on the home page here. After this, through the ‘View Advertisement’ link which will be made available on the new page, you will be able to see the detailed notification related and will be able to go to the application page by clicking on the ‘Apply’ link. Candidates will be able to register by filling in the submitted details on the application page.Candidates should note that at the time of application, they will have to pay an application fee of Rs 250, which can be paid in online mode.
Learn eligibility criteria
For General Medical Officer (GMO) posts, MBBS degree should be obtained from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Also, must be registered with MCI. For Specialist Medical Officer (SMO) posts, MBBS and MCI registration as well as 12 months internship should be done. At the same time, the age of the candidates should not be more than 37 years on 1 August 2020. However, the maximum age limit for women and BC / OBC candidates of the state of Bihar has been fixed at 40 years. At the same time, the maximum age limit for SC / ST candidates is 42 years.
