We, at the K.R. Mangalam University, as a twenty-first-century educational institution, believe that Robotics is a significant part of the modern day workforce and its demand is incomparable in today’s time. Robotic engineers are highly contributing to filling the shortage of skilled workers in the industry and we, at KRMU, are aiming to add on to the contribution. Thanks to IIT Bombay who are supporting us significantly in successfully setting up a Robotics lab at our campus. The project is named as e-Yantra which is being hosted by IIT Bombay and sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) through the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT). With this initiative, KRMU aims to spread knowledge and impart the students with training in Robotics and embedded fields.
The e-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI) is a program that inspires colleges and universities to establish Robotic Labs with minimum expenditure, obstacles, and hitches. It is a college-level program that utilizes highly flexible and sustainable techniques to establish not only an excellent lab infrastructure but also an influential lab culture. The project focuses on teacher training, infrastructure creation and development, equipment setting, and more. As a whole, the initiative aims to create a strong foundation where students can learn and gain real-world experiences beyond the limits of theoretical knowledge.
The initiative is entirely beyond the conventional form of education impartation and leverages students the opportunity to gain practical and rational insight in this particular field at their best. We, at KRMU, are consistently discovering new and better ways to improve our efforts towards this project. Our faculty and students along with the team from IIT Bombay are actively participating in making the project a massive success. We are gratified to announce about this initiative and cordially invite young, enthusiastic, and ambitious minds to make the best out this golden opportunity.
