The student body was drawn from the Governmental housing colonies of Satya Marg, Vinay Marg, Sarojini Nagar and Nauroji Nagar. The curriculum followed the standard curriculum for the Senior Cambridge/Indian Schools Certificate schools, essentially the same as the ‘O’ level track primary school curriculum in the UK. Subjects included English, Hindi, Arithmetic, Geography, History, Nature Studies and Moral Science, with senior classes adding Civics, Geometry and Algebra to the curriculum in Class V.

The school occupied the main building of the Naval Grounds in Chanakyapuri, which was adjacent to junior officers’ flats. In the winter months preceding Republic Day (26 January) the grounds also accommodated a large tented encampment of Navy ratings, who used the school football grounds to rehearse for the Republic Day parade.

Raisina Bengali Senior Secondary School, Gole Market, New Delhi

Raisina Bengali School (founded 1925) is a senior secondary school located at Mandir Marg (Central Delhi) New Delhi, India. It is an English medium school and follows CBSE curriculum. Tagore International School is a private international school in New Delhi, India. The Air Force School (Subroto Park)

he Air Force School (TAFS), formerly known as Air Force Central School (AFCS), was set up primarily to provide education to the children of Indian Air Force personnel.

It was founded in 1955 by the Air Marshal Subroto Mukherjee, the Chief of Air Staff. It was established in temporary wartime barracks at Wellingdon Camp, Club Road, New Delhi on 18 July 1955 to educate children of Officers and Airmen of the Indian Air Force.[1] In May 1967, the school shifted to its present location Aravali Campus location in Subroto Park, Delhi Cantonment; it had been located in New Delhi near the present residence of the Prime Minister. The school celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1980 when the word “Central” was dropped from the name. The school is a co-educational public institute affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It has boarding facilities for boys of classes VI to XII. It has classes from Kindergarten to Class XII. The school is situated on the Aravali ridge.

The school has an auditorium named as Aravali Hall. There are two separate ‘wings’ in the school. The junior wing has classes Kindergarten to V. The senior wing has classes VI to XII.

Although the school was established primarily for the benefit of children belonging to the IAF personnel, it has always been open to wards of Army and Navy personnel as well as to civilians.

The Mother’s International School

The Mother’s International School (MIS) is a public secondary school in New Delhi, India. It is an establishment of the Sri Aurobindo Education Society, an agency of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. In 2001, Outlook’s “C-Fore Best School Survey” has ranked MIS as one of the top 10 schools in India, and the best school in Delhi. It won News Wiz 2018 Episode 7.

The school shares a campus with other institutions including the alternative education school, Mirambika. Mirambika and The Mother’s International often collaborate to celebrate certain events like Mirra Alfassa’s birthday. The schools share the same sports ground on campus. The campus also hosts a bakery, iron-work unit, wood-work unit, candle-making and handmade paper unit, vocational training centre, and book store. The school also has a “Pre-Primary Wing” after the closing of Mira Nursery.

The Shri Ram School

The Shri Ram School is a co-educational private school in India. It is one of the most sought after schools in the country. Founded in July 1988, the Shri Ram School has three campuses spread across the National Capital Region of India. The Special Education Needs Department was started in April 1997 to provide educational opportunities in smaller settings to children with special needs.
